At the Battle of Thermopylae, when King Xerxes of the Persians I demanded that the Spartans, commanded by King Leonidas I surrender their weapons, King Leonidas replied “Come and take them”. According to history, the Spartans held Thermopylae for three days, but eventually lost to the Persians. They inflicted such heavy damage to the Persian army, however, that the Persians never recovered. They were eventually defeated by the Greeks in later battles. King Xerxes returned home in shame and defeat. This costly defeat began the decline of his empire. He was eventually assassinated.
Unfortunately I lost all of my guns in an unfortunate boating accident. They all went overboard. Or maybe they fell out of the airplane somewhere over Lake Pontchartrain. Gosh, I miss those guns! In some societies, like Australia, New Zealand, China, and soon to be Canada, and maybe even New York and Illinois, they have already disarmed the public. That is, they have disarmed the law abiding public. The bad guys are not really interested in obeying the gun control laws any more than they are in obeying the laws against burglary, larceny, vandalism, rape, or murder. Maybe we should make burglary, larceny, vandalism, rape, and murder illegal? Oh, i guess we already did that? Wonder why it’s not working? Think that in a disarmed society that the police will protect you? Call 911 and wait for them to show up when the bad guy has a gun right now. It took them almost 20 minutes to show up at my house when called. How long will it take you to bleed out if shot? When the bad guys confront you, unless you are a famous celebrity or politician with your own personal security force, you are toast.
Worse than the bad guys wait until the police or the FBI decide that they don’t really like what you are doing. If you are a conservative, you can bet they don’t like you. Heard of “Red Flag Laws?” Wait until a policeman, FBI, politician, or any psychologist can declare you to be mentally unstable and seize your guns without due process. Somebody who doesn’t like you complains that you are a “mental” case or that you have threatened them, and here come the police. Especially if it an ex-girlfriend, boyfriend, or spouse. Think they care about due process? Ask the Jan 6 Washington DC folks who had the Capitol police hold the Capitol doors open for them, and have been in solitary confinement for 2 years without due process. If you were planning an “insurrection” do you think this is how you would do it? How about all those FBI instigators among the crowd? The FBI refused to answer the question when asked by Senator Ted Cruz about how many FBI agents were in the crowd. And who is Ray Epps? CNN interviewed him and we still don’t know who he is or why he wasn’t charged. Well, just ask Roger Stone, General Flynn, or Peter Navarro how they were treated by the FBI.
Ask Donald Trump about the onslaught of attempts to put him in jail as a “convicted felon”. Do you think this is unique to try to imprison your political opponent. It has happened again and again throughout the world. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Think the in power Democratic party is not corrupt? Wonder why Merrick Garland and Anthony Fauci can get away with lying to congress, but Peter Navarro and Roger Stone will “do time?”
Want to see how things will go in the USA? Just look at how things went and are going in Myanmar. Expect more jailing of political opposition, economic collapse, labor strikes, street protests and violence, curfews, martial law, censorship of opposing political speech, shutdown of the internet, and general chaos. This process is often called a “color” revolution. Then wait for the Islamist terrorist attacks on infrastructure.
Hitler managed to kill 6 million (mostly) Jews in just a few short years with barely a whimper from the rest of the country. The population of the country at the time was only about 70 million. Around 8-9 percent of the population of the country of Germany loaded into rail cars and off to the gas chambers. The US Government already thinks there are too many people (polluting the planet). They killed off thousands of the elderly during COVID. Think they won’t try to round up the “domestic terrorists” by the tens of thousands and make them disappear? Think anybody will come to their (our) rescue? Where will the next Fort Sumter and Bull Run be? A book I read speculated how things might have been different in Germany if the Jews had defended themselves by killing Nazi’s when they came for them?
Conservative students at liberal universities have had visits from the FBI as unnamed individuals at the university have reported them to the FBI as terrorists. Not surprising since the FBI has also internally used that moniker to label conservative parents who have spoken out at school board meetings against liberal sex and “woke” educational processes.
Wait until the IRS decides to audit you, one of those 87,000 new IRS agents. Did you know that they are armed? How about the Bureau of Agriculture- also armed. There will be more armed IRS agents than there are armed soldiers in the British army. Think they are only going to go after millionaires and billionaires? Then you are a pretty naive goofball. There aren’t that many millionaires out there.
Do you really think the bad guys are going to give up their guns just because they pass some law against having guns? Been driving lately? How many people fly past you at 10, 20, even 30 mph over the speed limit? Texting and driving is illegal in many places. How many people still text and drive? Maybe that’s you. Driving under the influence of alcohol is illegal everywhere. Drunk drivers still kill thousands. Convicted felons are for the most part not supposed to own guns. How many of them are subsequently arrested while possessing a gun. Maybe you’re Hunter Biden, oh but that’s another subject.
How about if the US is invaded like Ukraine? How about all those terrorists that are invading our country from across the southern border from Mexico? We’ve caught a few. How many more have we missed? Think they care about obeying some stupid (and unconstitutional) gun law? If I had any guns left after that unfortunate boating accident (or was it an airplane accident?), the government could have them when they come and take them, and pry the smoking barrel from my cold dead fingers.
